Six squash courts
Number of teams
Squash is normally played in 3 age groups: U14, U16 and U19. School matches usually consist of a team of eight players selected on merit from various age groups. Boys participate in KZN trials tournaments in their particular age groups.
In term one we travel to Bloemfontein to participate in the annual SA Schools team tournament hosted by St Andrew’s School. The Super Eight fixtures are held in term one against the squash playing schools in KZN. Term two is the intense period of trials tournaments for boys with aspirations of being selected for provincial teams. Term three is the social squash term with professional coaching available – a good time for beginners to try out. Term four is a pre-season term with some fixtures against traditional rivals co-ordinated with the cricket and water-polo fixtures.

The school teams also enter the local Pietermaritzburg leagues and at present have teams playing in the winter league. Many boys also enter the various individual championships organised by the KZN Sc. Squash Association and in this way can gain KZN Schools representative colours.
Professional coaches attend twice a week to offer our boys individualised attention.
Squash is played throughout the year.
Practice is in “black and whites”. Matches require the school squash shirt / first team squash shirt with black shorts and squash shoes with white socks. Tracksuits are required for matches.
