About Nathan Julius

Last year, Hilton College Old Boy, Nathan Julius, was accepted to study in Switzerland. Thanks to the support from members of the Hilton family, he has just finished his first year with outstanding results and will join forces with the Voices of Hilton and South African conductor, Richard Cock, on Friday evening 6 July 2018 to perform for us.

You might remember that Nathan, Class of 2016, is a passionate young man from Cape Town with the desire to become a professional singer as a counter-tenor. Unfortunately, prospective South African students need to look outside South Africa to make a career in this field. Schola (as the students call it) has a proud 150 years tradition – like Hilton College. It is rated as one of the top 5 conservatories in early music in the world. Nathan’s voice teacher and head of the vocal department at Schola, Evelyn Tubb, reports that he is without a doubt in the right place, that he works very hard, and that his public performances have impressed and are appreciated by all.

We thank you so much for joining forces with us through sharing Nathan’s story with those whom you believe might be willing to contribute, or through your own contribution.
