James  Bezuidenhout left with the South African Paralympic qualifiers to compete in the German International Swimming Open in Berlin in July.

There were 40 countries represented at this event- last race meet prior to the Paralympic games. The South African Ambassador to Germany joined the side for the relay medal presentation.

At the event the SA Men’s Relay team achieved a gold medal (this was the event that James qualified for the London Paralympic  Games). He also was placed first in his class for the 200m Backstroke, and achieved a bronze medal in the 100m Backstroke. James swam apersonal best time for the 200m freestyle , and set 3 new SA records.
