Dear Old Hiltonians

A warm greeting to all of you. The Old Hiltonian Club is an important institution of the College and plays a vital role in creating a sense of belonging amongst the school community. I believe that to create this, there needs to be effective communication to all Old Hiltonians.

HILTONIAN DAY / WEEK-END – 6th & 7th June
This is probably the most important date on the Old Boys’ calendar, and for the first time last year we had a Golf day / Dinner which was very successful. This weekend of activities is open to all Old Hiltonians and we encourage you to join us.

We begin with a GOLF DAY on Friday 6 June, followed by a Dinner, both to be held at the Victoria Country Club and Boschoek. This day is open to the whole HILTON FAMILY and is a great occasion for all of us to get-together and have lots of fun. This event will be run by the PMB Branch of the Club under the chairmanship of Joe Harding and his able committee in conjunction with Iain and his Development team. Any one wanting to play golf, attend the dinner or both please contact Barbara ASAP as we anticipate a good response.

On Saturday, 7 June, Hilton will be playing rugby and hockey against the formidable school, MARITZBURG COLLEGE and, apart from the A.G.M, which will take place in the morning, there will be a marquee outside the Fleur-de-lys Club where one can enjoy refreshments and lunch. After the 1st team game we will be able to gather back at the Club, hopefully to toast a victory and a great weekend.

So I encourage all Hiltonians to diarise these dates and come and join us in the surroundings of our magnificent school.

Durban - 10 September – Royal Durban
Midlands - 31 July – Nottingham Road Hotel
Gauteng - 24 July – Inanda Club
Zululand - third term – to be advised.

ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS
We also come to this time of the year when we need to collect our annual subscriptions. which will be a nominal fee of (R200 member, R90 student). These subs help contribute to the running of the club and the various branches. Barbara will be emailing or posting these later this week. Please note we will be using a new Bank account, nationally.
