Congratulations to our 2017 Matrics

Wed like to congratulate the entire Hilton College Class of 2017 for receiving their National Senior Certificates.

Once again, Hilton College achieved a 100% pass rate, with 95% of the candidates meeting the requirements for Bachelors Degree Studies.

Special mention needs to be made of our top achievers, Buhle Solomon and Mitchell Green. Both of these boys received scholarships to attend Hilton College in Grade 8 and were delighted that the school could play a part in helping them realise their potential. 2018 will see them beginning their university journeys, with Buhle reading towards an actuarial sciences degree and Mitchell reading law.

Our top academic achievers are a great source of pride to Hilton College, but wed like to take this opportunity to recognise all 112 of our matrics for the persistence that they have shown and the resilience that they have learnt; these, alongside the relationships theyve formed and the leadership skills that they have developed over the past five years, are attributes that will stand them in good stead in their future endeavours.

As one of our former headmasters, Raymond Slater, once said: If I were asked what I considered to be the ideal Hilton boy, I would look for compassion, for humility, for sensitivity, for imagination, for concern for the needs of others, and for the ability to communicate with other human beings.

Were very excited to see how all our matriculants apply the learnings from their Hilton experience in making a positive and meaningful contribution to their communities and country. Hilton College wishes them all the best.
