Dear McKenzie Parents
As the new school year begins, it brings with it a new era at Hilton
College, with the start of Mr Dave Lovatt’s term of office as the 14th
Headmaster of this great school. We hope Dave will enjoy his new
challenge that he has many happy years leading the school, and he can be
assured that McKenzie House will be right behind him.
Our matrics returned on Saturday morning for a leadership weekend where
they were involved in several talks and exercises to prepare them for
the weeks and year ahead. There was fruitful discussion, and hopefully a
solid foundation has been laid for the exciting challenges which lie
ahead for them, as leaders of the school in 2008.
Here are a few photos from various activities during the course of the
weekend where the Headmaster, Housemasters and various other staff were
involved. On Saturday evening we had a fun event where the matric group
in each House were given 3 news papers and sellotape. From this they had
to design a swim wear, sport wear and Matric dance (boy and girl) items.
We then had a fashion show where the “models” took to the ramp to the
music of Rolf Harris!
Regards
Paul
