Golf Day
“The more I practise the luckier I
get.”
Arnold Palmer 1929-
Dear McKenzie Family
After heavy rain throughout Saturday, we were fortunate to blessed with
the sun, as well as a chilly wind, on our Golf Day at Sakabula! There
was a good turnout for the day and I thank all the boys and parents who
were able to attend.
Results:
1st - P French, J French, N French and G Foley 97 pts
2nd - K MacKenzie, J MacKenzie, L Kelly and G Kelly 90 pts
3rd- M McCreedy, P Guthrie, M McCreedy, G Barnes 86 pts
The competition was a four-ball alliance with two scores to count and
three scores to count on the par 3’s.
It was a great day and thanks to all the parents who sponsored prizes or
made donations (in particular Russell Hopkins who sponsored the first
prize of four elegant ladies watches valued at R 2500 each). Our thanks
to Matt van Asche and Grant Tromp for organizing the day, and in
particular, the MacPhail’s for sponsoring the lovely golf shirts, as
well as the van Asche’s for the trendy golf caps.
Kind
Regards
Paul
