Inter-House Singing
“Music has charms to soothe a savage
breast”
William Congrieve
Dear McKenzie Family
Last week Thursday we had the inaugural Inter-House Singing Competition
held in the theatre. Each House (the entire House) had to sing a song
and then a small group of twelve had to sing too. It was a great evening
which the boys thoroughly enjoyed. I was delighted that McKenzie was the
first winner of this Inter-house event and, contrary to popular belief,
we have a House full of fine singers! My thanks to Daniel Nambassi who
did all the organization in making sure our House was well prepared, and
to all the boys for the manner in which they embraced this event. The
House sang the Paul McCartney hit “We all stand together” and the group
of twelve sang a song composed by Daniel Nambassi entitled “Freedom”.
Regards
Paul
