Achievers (2)
Inter-House Music Competition

Sketch by Brent Dodd

The past three weeks have been filled with numerous achievements but three have really proved worthy of being achievers of the week.

Dillan made 42 runs and moved from the U14/d to the U14/C team

Moussa took 4 wickets in ten overs for 16 runs

Louis Taylor made 123 runs for inter-house cricket

Last week Thursday (7th of February) the house was involved in an Inter-House Music Competition. Being the first of its type in Hilton history the house was a little uncertain on what exactly it would be performing. The rules as such were that each house had to perform 2 pieces of music. One involving the whole house, and another which had to have 12 or less members. The final decision was that the whole house would sing, “Tears in heaven” by Eric Clapton, and “Apologise” by Timberland featuring One Republic. Adrian Ciesielski organised and co-ordinated the event with the help of Klyne Maharaj and Graeme Heerden.

Falcon was placed 3rd, not a bad position at all for a first time. Everyone was ecstatic and thrilled at the fact that every house played their part and took it seriously.
