Achievers - 1

Sketch by Brent Dodd

The past weekend has been filled with glamorous achievements and successful results. Not only has it been out in the sport field but also in the classroom and in the music field. The following received exam accommodations for their efforts in last year’s final exams:

LT Balfour, NP Trataris, NJ Vontas and MCSJ Macklin

KL Sifunda, MF Tack, SMW Gardner, RM de Villiers and NK Opai-Tetteh

L Bezuidenhout and KC Reed

CS Ebert, R Naidoo and OZ Balfour

What exactly does it mean to be awarded accommodations? The boys get certain privileges such as being allowed to watch movies, miss a homework session, watch an episode of various sitcoms and they are allowed to work in the comfort of their areas. Though all the above is monitored so that none of the boys end up slacking or abusing their privileges.

Chris Ebert was awarded an academic tie for his tremendous efforts in his grade 11 final exams.

The following achieved superbly this past weekend:

D. Bellamy (U/16A Basketball) – 12 points
H. Thetard (A-Team Swimming) – Won 5 out of 6 races
N. Maphumulo (2nd Basketball) – 14 points
K. Reed (6th Cricket) – Hat-trick off 28 runs
D. Putter (U/14A Cricket) – 4 maiden overs
L. Walker (U/14D Cricket) – Made 43 runs and had 2 wickets for 4 runs
