Housemaster's First Half Term Report
|
|
Sketch by Brent Dodd |
Dear Parents
It is hard to believe that we have had five weeks of school and
half-term is upon us. In this time we have seen the new boys settle into
the House and the matrics getting to grips with their various
portfolios.
There have been some very fine achievements during this time. We
finished third in the inaugural Inter-House Music Competition. Our
Senior Cricket team finished third and our Junior team finished fifth in
the Senior and Junior Inter-House Cricket Competitions.
Graeme Heerden and Michael Tack have gained selection to the Midlands
Under 19 Boys’ Tennis Team and Gunter Thetard has achieved qualifying
times to compete at the South African Age Group National Gala.
Christopher Ebert has been appointed Chairman of the Senior Foreign
Affairs Society.
Graeme Heerden did the House proud at assembly this morning (13th of
February), where he performed one of his own musical compositions. The
response from the boys and staff was tremendous and it is great to see
boys’ talents being recognised and appreciated.
I trust that you will enjoy the time with your son during this half-term
break.
Mike
