Graeme Turnbull
Mr. Turnbull was taught to play the pipes by
Lawrence Forsyth who was a piper in the Pietermaritzburg Caledonian
Society Pipe Band. Mr. Forsyth was a very competent piper and demanded a
very high standard from the pupils he taught. At 16 years of age Mr.
Turnbull was finally considered to be sufficiently competent to be
enrolled as a piper in the band. Fifty-four years later he finds himself
still playing the pipes and having absolutely no regrets. |
