Four Seasons Cafe
|
Recently the Music Department produced the "Four Seasons Cafe", a concert for the whole school that had a more relaxed feel than some of our more formal concerts. The selection of music was on the popular side of the spectrum, and lots of fun was had by all. To quote an audience member "I came into the concert not "keen", but by the end I couldn't get enough." High praise from a teenager. The programme was varied, with soloists including Graeme Heerden, Mr. Udal and Mr. Odendaal. Dlala Kanye performed some baroque music and Khaya Mkhize, Eathon Maritz and Keatile Sello performed some of Khaya's own compositions. |

The choir contributed with the famous "Mbube", arranged by Daleen Britz and the "Drinking Song" from The Student Prince. This was also an opportunity for Octava, our vocal ensemble to give their first performance, backing Mr. Mfanafuthi Hlope in "Funiculi, Funicula". |
