The Memorable Concert series started in style with Kotaro Fukuma playing a solo recital on Sunday 17 February. An appreciative audience of 180 people enjoyed his brilliant performance thoroughly.

The concert series is planned to consist of four recitals by internationally recognised musicians, spaced throughout the year. These must be the only concerts in the province, and maybe the country, where: parking is secure, ample and free; the views are astonishing; the hall is of an international acoustic standard; the seating is comfortable; and, most important, the artists are all internationally recognised.

The next concert will take place somewhere in the second term, with artist and dates yet to be finalised. Watch this space.
