"Do not go where the path may
lead,
go instead where there is no path and leave a trail"
R.W. Emerson
Dear Parents
I trust that you all had a wonderful Half-term with your boys at home
and that you were able to share some quality time together.
We had a very busy Half-term break with three cricket teams involved in
festivals and our rowers involved in the Buffalo Regatta. All our teams
faired well and, above all, represented their school with pride and
dignity. Thank you to all those boys, and families, who gave up their
weekend to participate in these events.
As you will no doubt have seen from the Term Calendar, I will be in
Johannesburg on 4th March to attend the Gauteng Parents function at the
Inanda Club. Paul Guthrie, the newly appointed Director of Marketing,
and Dave Watson, the School Counsellor, will accompany me. Dave will do
a presentation on 'Binge Drinking' which I think will be very
informative. These evenings have proven to be very successful over the
years and I look forward to seeing many of you there. As mentioned,
please contact Ann Rake if you wish to attend.
The next few weeks will be busy with the conclusion of the Summer Sports
Program and our First Mark Order, and the start of the winter sports
season. We look forward to the next few weeks and I hope to see many of
you when you visit the school.
Kind regards
Dave Lovatt
