Dear Parents
This past week has seen the introduction of two new House events, the
Choir Competition and Sunday Cricket.
Both events were enjoyed by the boys, and I believe that the Sunday
Cricket allowed parents an opportunity to enjoy a family get-together on
the campus. The Inter-House Choir Competition was introduced this year
following an event I enjoyed at the Millfield School (UK) on my visit
there in 2007. I hope that this will grow in future years and become an
event the boys really look forward to. It is a wonderful way of
promoting Music and, in addition, affords all boys an opportunity to
develop their theatre skills.
Although a great deal of our sporting activity was washed out on
Saturday, the Basketball teams had a full fixture against Michaelhouse.
The atmosphere in the Sports Centre was electric! The supporters from
both schools gave the teams unqualified support and helped make the
morning a most memorable one for the players.
I trust that you will enjoy the weekend with your boys at home. Take
time to explore their progress to date. Please would you let Ann Rake
know if you have not yet been contacted by your son's Tutor, as I would
like to follow this up on your behalf.
Please ensure that your son has a decent haircut whilst on leave. This
is school policy and some of the boys are looking a little 'wooly' at
the moment.
Kind regards
Dave Lovatt
