Dear Parents
"And the day came when the risk
it took to remain tight inside the bud was more painful than the risk it
took to blossom."
Anais Nin
Winter has certainly arrived at Hilton!
Saturday we experienced temperatures in the early thirties and yesterday
temperatures plummeted into the low single figures. But Hilton is
looking at its very best at the moment - the lovely array of autumn
colours certainly enhances our campus.
The school has quickly settled into its hectic schedule with much to
look forward to this term. This past weekend we hosted Northwood High
School for both Hockey and Rugby. As the results demonstrate, the
majority of our teams had the better of the opposition. I must commend
Northwood on their spirit and the sportsmanlike conduct they
demonstrated in the face of adversity.
The cast of 'Grease' will be putting the finishing touches to their
production this week. I urge the Hilton community to support the cast
and attend the shows in the week 28 April - 01 May. Please phone the
Theatre to book your seats. We do have other productions happening later
in the term but I will remind you of these at a later date.
The Matric Dance will be held on Saturday 26 April and I look forward to
seeing all our Matric Boys and their partners at this significant
occasion. It is a wonderful opportunity for the boys to celebrate their
time at Hilton.
Enjoy the week.
Kind regards
Dave Lovatt
