Dear Parents

Confirmation in 2008 will take place during the first term of 2008. Boys who will be in Form 4 (Grade 11) and above in 2008 may participate in the Confirmation course. The course includes some lessons here at school during the first term, but the bulk of the preparation will take place on a Sunday (16th March) and on a camp. The camp (3 days), at Em’seni near Spionkop Dam will start on Saturday 8th March and conclude on Tuesday 11th March. Attendance on these days is compulsory and it is important that in applying to be confirmed these dates are noted carefully.

The course culminates in the Confirmation service on Tuesday 18th March at 6.00 pm in the Hilton College Chapel. After the service you will be free to take your son home for the holidays. The cost of the confirmation course is R 600.00, and this includes the camp (accommodation, food and transport) and other necessary materials etc. This will be charged to your school account unless you specify otherwise.

This course is not for Roman Catholic pupils who have a separate programme. Please contact John McMichael for details. The normal denominations this course assists are Anglican, Methodist, Presbyterian and other protestant
