GOLF AT THE VICTORIA COUNTRY CLUB

For the second year in a row, the Maritzburg Branch of the Old Hiltonian Club organized a Golf Day at Victoria Country Club, held on the Friday before Hiltonian Day.  A huge field of 136 players teed off at the shot-gun start and much fun was had by the Old Boys and parents who participated.  At the end of the day the trophy was held aloft by Johnnie Thorpe, Kelvin Johnson, Scott and Ray Rethman.

DINNERS

Following the golf, the Maritzburg Old Boys ran a most enjoyable dinner at VCC.  On the same evening, more than 60 Old Boys from 1988 gathered at the Fleur-de-lys Club for a memorable dinner followed by their revelling late at Crossways, it is alleged.  On Saturday night, the leavers of 1978 enjoyed their turn to dine at the Club and regale one another with reminiscences of their time at Hilton, and what had transpired in the interim
